Finding your Production date (ORGA/DAM)

The production day of your car can be calculated with the Citroën DS Peugeot organization number or ORGA number. On the basis of this date it can be determined exactly which car parts are applicable to your vehicle. The ORGA number, Dam number or ORP number (Replacement Parts) started with number 0001 on November 9, 1976. From that day on, the ORGA number has been increased by 1 every day. From 1980 Citroën DS Peugeot has applied the four-digit ORGA code in all its cars.

Where can I find the organization number?

Below is a small overview where the ORGA code can be found per type. After the year of construction 2000, a more professional way of indicating the organization number was introduced.

Citroën, DS or Peugeot models built after 2000

Is your Citroën, DS or Peugeot younger than 2000? Then look for the sticker that also states the tire pressure and color code, on which you can also find the Peugeot Citroën DS organization number. You can usually find this sticker on one of the door jambs. For details about the sticker, you can check our color code page. The sticker has a number with 7 positions, the first 5 positions of this show the ORGA number.

Citroën Xantia

On the bulkhead under the hood, just in front of the right strut, just under the windshield. On the one hand there is the color code (letters) and also the ORGA number smaller.
